Home Sweet Home.
It's been a long flight
and I realised that I've been so excited to go home
that I forgot to appreciate my last few moments in UK. -_-
Just for once,
I decided not to let anyone know that I was going on the plane,
especially the staffs on board,
as I didn't want any attention or special treatments
and just wanted to go home.
I got to my seat,
smiled at the steward who helped me with my luggage,
got a magazine
and started reading on this story
about two sisters that was reunited after 15 years of separation.
As the story started to get me all teary...
"Miss Chew?"
I looked up at the stewardess in shock
and thought that she must have been worried,
seen me getting all worked up and teary.
"Miss Chew, right?" She asked again.
Wait a minute.
How did she know my surname?!
"Erm.. Yes... How did you..."
"Get your luggages, Miss Chew. Your dad is in front and has requested for you to move up." the stewardess smiled while cutting me off.
"My dad?! No. It can't be. He's in China."
"Ah yes. It's a surprise. *she smiled while taking my luggage out of the compartment* Come, let's get you up to first class."
Everyone started to cheer on and the bloke next to me even told me,
"Wow. Your dad is so sweet to surprise you."
I was so shocked
that I totally blurred out for a moment or two,
as so many questions were running through my thoughts.
My dad?
Here?
No way.
Could it?
O_o
I followed her anyway
until up to a point,
where she turned around and apologized for making it up.
"Sorry but that was the only way I could create a reaction from you that seemed real."
"But I didnt want anyone to know i was on board. How did you know i was on the plane?"
"Oh. Your dad made sure all of us knew that you were coming. And I mean ALL of us." She laughed while handing handing me a glass of juice.
Honestly,
being back home is the best feeling anyone could ever feel.
Absolutely no regrets,
no doubt about it.
But with the fact knowing that I will not be going back
to England for another 15 months,
it surprisingly devastates me a lil'.
It was afterall, my second home.
I remember trying to tell JasonLim that,
during the first night I was in London,
and I ended up getting a long lecture in the taxi
about not appreciating it and not wanting to travel to Europe first,
before going home.
Bah.
>_<
Now,
I'm battling with jetlags, heat strokes
and lousy internet connections.
heh.
It seriously is home sweet home.
