Alice in Underland?

Okay first,
I didnt know it wasnt a remake
and instead it being a sequel.

If it wasnt for the 3D effect,
the story line was by far
Tim Burton's worst in my personal opinion.

I mean dont get me wrong,
im like Tim Burton's biggest fan
and ive loved his movies since
Michael Keaton's Beetlejuice in like the 80s?

Maybe it was a high expectation of the show
but everything just wasnt that great.

And another thing that got me so confused.

Was it underland
or wonderland
that they keep mentioning
on the show? O_o

Oh and another thing,
i love Johnny Depp
and he is a true chameleon
in changing characters
BUT personalities wise and voice
just wasnt good at all.

You could either see a glimpse
of Jack Sparrow or Willy Wonka in between.

However, the movie ended
with the sound of like another sequel
following this would be in the works
so yeah, if there was,
i hope it'd be an improvement.

But dont be put off by my comments,
its worth sitting thru it to watch the show
with the blue caterpillar and the tweedle twins
are a great animation effect.

Oh and of course,
not forgetting the white rabbit.

As independent as i love to be,
I admit i think I need help.

No.
Not what you're thinking.

I need help with the house. T_T

I have never had the entire
place to myself before
and its getting really hard
for me to maintain on my own,
especially with my ever-demanding career.

Work wise
is getting a lil stressful
but im loving every part
of this learning curve.

The best bit
is im learning
and i love what im doing.

But laundry,
cooking, CFA
is seriously extra chores
and as much as i want
to have children right now,
i thought to myself
while folding clothes into the wardrobe,
i dont think i actually am ready
with only the beginning stage
of my future career.

I dont even have time
to swim anymore.

Heck.
I dont even
have time to blog
and ive ready-edited pictures
in my photobucket
ready to be posted up
and I still cant
find the time to do so.

So now im here,
ranting the usual on my blog
with mask on my face (i needed to relax!)
and waiting for my laundry
to be done,
before taking a shower.

To top it off,
my weekends are even more pack
then my weekdays. T_T

Aih.
I need a break.

Am sitting in the lobby
of my hotel in Sandakan
while waiting for the time to past
so we could catch a cab to the airport.

Nothing much to do around here
unless we follow tours
which we only have
a couple of hours to kill,
plus its too blazing hot
to be walking anywhere at the mo. T_T

Nevertheless,
Im surprised to say this
but i actually enjoyed my stay here
despite the fact nature
just really aint my thing. HAHA

At the meantime,
I'll leave you with

So the Hong Kong saga continues!

We took our time to wake up
then left Fortress Hill
for downtown Tsim Sha Tsui
to meet up with Norris,
whom i havent seen for 2 years!

Havent done camwhoring
in a while,
so bear with me
with all these pictures. ;p

Well that's because
i havent had a partner
to do so too for some time now. HAHA

Saw this in one of the shops.

The boy was late

The boy recommended this place
in the new I-square mall,
whereby they serve Hokkaido pizza.

The base of the pizza is made out of rice!

We walked around after lunch
before the boy had to run off
for a meeting nearby. :)

This was originally the place
we intended to stay
when we were searching
over the internet
for cheap places to stay.

Im so grateful I had Norris
to tell us "DONT!" HAHA!

They sell umbrellas
in a vending machine!

Shopping got us busy.

God.
I dont have the time.

Am flying off to Sandakan
this Friday itself with the boy
and im jam packed this whole week
with work and events.

It doesnt help
that he is equally as busy,
which now im thankful
we decided to go on
this short trip away together. :)

and the boy took me to Palate Palatte for dinner,
where i bumped into surprisingly
a lot of my friends there. O_O

Cezanne and Hennley,
gambling on the second day of CNY. :)

Told him to pose for the camera
but this was his best. T_T HAHA!

Anyway,
met up with the busy bee on the third day of CNY,
which he brought me to Champs! in Centrepoint,
and to my surprise the food actually
exceeded my expectations!

Watching cousins
and cousins' partners gamble
at my uncle's place.

I think the person having the most fun,
was my 80++ grandfather in his wheelchair
gambling his grandson's wealth away. HAHA!

It's been a while
since ive seen everyone together. :)

A really good friend
told me that last night
and it wasnt till this morning
that I realised what he said was true.

On Wednesday,
I had 2 clashing events
but i managed to squeeze my time in
to actually go for both.

It helps that i dont go to work
at 6:30 in the morning anymore
but it still kills that
i no longer am able to take naps
in the office,
that my eyebags are killing me
with gravity dragging it down. T_T

Tonight,
Ive got 4 events
and tomorrow ive got 2 back-to-back.

And I dont know how
im going to split myself up,
having to go around to try to please everyone.

Confirm die. T_T

So it's my first day.
In fact, the first hour.

The pros:

1) I get to come in late.
2) I can msn in the office legally!
3) I havent tried facebook but i can YouTube and blog!
4) People come in at 9am-930am! (no longer 630am for me! haha)
5) They actually serve you coffee/tea/milo at 930am!

The cons:

1) Ive killed 4 cockroaches in less than an hour.

Fuck.
I'd rather be waking up at 630am every morning,
than always being paranoid about insects
crawling into my Gucci handbag.

And it's only the first hour.
Good god. T_T

One of the most cutest dress
i came across while doing my
CNY shopping in 'Forever 21'.

Now im really not a 'Forever 21' fan
but the dress reminds me so much
of Eva Longoria's birthday dress
that i just had to have a snap with it.

Unfortunately for me,
it was actually a size too big
and i had to breathe out
just to not let it drop!

Oh well,

Hong Kong Day 1!

Ive been so busy
this past week
that it's draining my youth. -_-

Plus, blogger had been banned
from the office computers lately
hence my disappearance. >_<

There's just so many things
that i wanted to blog about
for the past week
but by the time i got home,
ive either forgotten
or just totally crashed. T_T

Okay so here are the
first batch of edited
Hong Kong photos for the time being.

I know its been
a month plus since the trip
but well i'd better put them up now
before i totally lose interest in them. haha!

We havent even exited
the airport building
and while waiting in line
for our immigration,
AlcoK said,

"Sher, I want to come back to Hong Kong again!"
"... O_o but you just arrived and havent even left the airport yet!"

We got lost initially
and dragging out suitcases
in the rain really wasnt fun. :(

But that was our only downside
to our trip because
when we found the place
(which really wasnt hard actually. -_- haha)
it was just all worth it. :)

Our cozy lil place
for the next few nights.

We were actually quite worried
about how dodgy the place is
considering it being cheap and convenient
but it beat all of our expectations. :D

*YesInn* is about a 10 minutes walk
from the Fortress Hill MTR station
and there's a 7-11 right next door.

We absolutely love the neighbourhood!

Supper right before bed! haha!

So my sister's Australian friend, Nico
came to visit a few weeks back.

Work Day 18 and still counting.

Work has slowed its pace
but its an official day
at the office today.

I think ive became so paranoid
about receiving Boss.B's email
for more changes everytime
i send in my report
that it just isnt good for my health. -_-

However!
Dont know what came over me,
but I was pretty efficient yesterday!

Stayed at home to finish my reports
because i cant be bothered
coming into the office on a public holiday. T_T

I also cooked lunch and dinner,
did my laundry for whites,
went for a swim, went grocery shopping,
and did a face mask!

Okay the only thing
that was a total failure,
was when i sat down
to open my CFA book to study,
I fell straight asleep. T_T

So much for my dedication. >_<

5 more months to CFA exam! Urgh!

It doesnt help
that Chinese New Year
is just around the corner.

Have to spend money on my hair,
have to spend money on a pedicure,
have to spend money on new clothes.

Aih.
Why are there only
12 months of paycheck? >_<

I found out new things about me yesterday
after working 16 days in a row,
that i tend to sing and laugh to myself
when im under alot of stress. O_o

My colleagues think im funny
but i think all i want is my bed. T_T

It doesnt help
that im still in the midst
of moving things in
(just got my bed yesterday!)
and that P1 WiMAX has been dying
on me quite frequently lately.

Just a quick update
about my week so far.

1) I cried today while reading a story about a dog and his master, which is really weird cuz i havent done so for a long time. T_T
2) Writing my first report in Research! I dont know how to write one at all. T_T
3) Boss.B requested to extend my stay in Research for ~~an extra week.~~ Oh. my. god. it's 2 weeks. not one week. T_T
4) Finally got something off my chest to a close colleague after keeping it to myself for the last 3 months.
5) Working 2 weeks in a row is bringing my migraine back. -_-
6) Okay. Maybe it has something to do with me staying up so late lately, just to play with the US stocks. ;p Apple Inc is damn volatile. T_T
7) Had a good hang out session with my UWE boys yesterday.
8) Im really going to miss my baby sister who is leaving this Sunday.

Im too tired.
Too busy to blog.

Fuh!

Wow.
I have seriously forgotten
how tiring it is to live on my own.

Grocery shopping is a nightmare in Malaysia.

I stood in the middle of the milk aisle
and realised ive absolutely no idea
which brands are good or long-lasting.

Marigold, Dutchlady;
low fat, full cream;
got cow on cover, got family on cover. O_o

So many choices!

It made me realised
that i had only learned to cook
when i first went overseas
about nearly 4 years ago
and have absolutely no knowledge
about the Malaysian market.

It took ages choosing around
the entire place for a non-stick pan,
to only find out when i got back home,
i forgot to buy a spatula. T_T

Super fail dot com. -_-

Chores are my main exercise now
and I was in such a chaos mess
when i cooked for the first time today...

And it was only instant noodles. T_T

But well,
at least it was a success
alongside my tofu with egg
that i managed to fry today!

Okay enough for now.

because its still not 100% complete. ;p

(in the cinema, starbucks, office,
anywhere you name it! ;p)

your old car that you refused to change,
how you repeat your words when you pick up the phone,
or how you would rather pick the seat
with tennis on the tv program compared to football.
(or rather is very picky on seatings anyway haha)

Bottom line is,
i love how you're constantly
trying to make me happy
but truth is babe,
you already did with all my heart
and there's nothing more i can ask for
